  The New Orleans city council voted 6 to 1 to remove four Confederate statues from the city. One statue representing a battle and three statues of Robert E. Lee, P.G.T. Beauregard, and Jefferson Davis. The following is from Wikipedia. Cultural genocide or cultural cleansing is a concept that lawyer Raphael Lemkin distinguished in 1944 as a component to genocide. It also says that in practice It involves the eradication and destruction of cultural artifacts, such as books, artworks, and structures, and the suppression of cultural activities that do not conform to the destroyer's notion of what is appropriate. Motives may include the religious (e.g., iconoclasm), as part of a campaign of ethnic cleansing to remove the evidence of a people from a locale or history, as part of an effort to implement a Year Zero, in which the past and its associated culture is deleted and history is "reset". ISIS is in the process of cultural cleansing. They are destroying ancient statues, artwork, buildings, and any references to history that doesn't line up with their perverted ideology.

 I don't know if the attempt to stamp out Confederate history is a component to genocide but what is going on in New Orleans, Memphis and other places is cultural cleansing. The left wants to act as if the past never happened. If they are successful in removing all references to the Confederacy does anyone believe for a moment that they will be satisfied? The other day I heard that Princeton students were wanting to remove all references to Woodrow Wilson. This is a little surprising to me since Wilson has always been a darling of the left because he was one of their darling progressives. I don't like Wilson for that reason or for his racism. If racism and slavery are a reason to cleanse our history then that just about includes everyone. Will they eventually want to remove the statues of Washington, Jefferson, or even Lincoln. Will we tear down the Washington monument, the Jefferson memorial and the Lincoln memorial? Although Lincoln was open minded for his time by today's standards he was a racist.

  Never mind the fact that without these people there would not be a United States of America for these idiots to exercise their stupidity in. Will the name of Washington D.C. be changed to Obamaville or Clinton D.C. ? If Americans allow Confederate heritage to be cleansed it will only be a matter of time before American heritage will be affected. Of course they will be selective. The bust of Margaret Sanger in the Smithsonian, memorials and tributes to her will not be removed. She was a eugenicist and one of the worst racists of all time but she is the darling of feminists and Planned Parenthood. The following is from her autobiography about addressing a Klan rally in New Jersey. “I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan…I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses…I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak…In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.”

 Martin Niemöller's famous quote could be applicable here. When the Nazis came for the communists, I remained silent; I was not a communist. When they locked up the social democrats, I remained silent; I was not a social democrat. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I remained silent; I wasn't a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out. They are coming for my heroes today. Tomorrow they will come for yours.

Jayne Mansfield   Jayne Mansfield died way too young on June 29, 1967 at the age of 34 in a gruesome car wreck, She was killed instantly but contrary to urban legend she was not decapitated. The James brothers with their mother Zerelda James   Most everyone has heard of the notorious outlaws Jesse and Frank James, however; did you know that they lived in Nashville from 1875 until March 1881? Jesse's oldest son Jesse James Jr. was born in Nashville along with his sister Mary. Jesse Jr. was born at 606 Boscobel Street on August 31, 1875. Mary was born on West Hamilton Road in Bordeaux on July 17, 1879. Jesse Jr. went by the name Tim and as far as he knew his last name was Howard. He and his sister would not know their real last names until after Jesse was killed in 1882. Jesse and his wife Zerelda would also lose two male twins in infancy.  Jesse's brother Frank lived on Clarksville Pike. While living there he and his wife Annie Ralston James gave birth to a son named Robert Franklin on February 6, 1877. For a time he would be dressed as a girl and go by the name of Mary.   Charlie Parkhurst aka One-eyed Charlie, Cockeyed Charlie, or Six Horse Charlie was born in 1812 in Vermont. Eventually he made his way out west to California where he became a teamster and one of the most skilled stagecoach drivers in history. He was small in stature but tough. Shortly after becoming a stagecoach driver for the California Stage Company he was kicked in the face by a horse and blinded in one eye. Charlie began his reputation as a tough driver when a robber named "Sugarfoot" held up his stage one day. Taken by surprise his only option was to give up his strong box.
